wellfields51973.jpg646 viewsTHE PONDS WERE LOW AND LOOKING RAGGED FROM ABOVE IN MAY OF '73. NOTICE THE SMALL PONDS WHERE THE SOFTBALL FIELD IS NOW LOCATED. THERE IS AN OLD WELL HEAD CLOSE TO SECOND BASE ON THE SOFTBALL FIELD. WE UNCOVERED IT IN 1978 WHEN WE GRADED FOR THE SOFTBALL FIELD. IT WAS COVERED BY A SQUARE PLATE. WE DROPPED ROCKS DOWN THE PIPE AND HEARD SPLASHES. WE PUT THE PLATE BACK OVER IT...COVERED IT AND FINISHED THE FIELD. NO BIG DEAL. Courtesy of Don Smith dsmith1043@comcast.netSep 21, 2006
