South Fork Regular Baptist Church, Piney Creek522 viewsThis congregation was organized in 1840. The church divided in the 1860s over the Civil War, with the other faction styling itself Primitive Baptist. The Primitive Baptist faction had a meeting house on the Ashe County side of the South Fork. This congregation closed about 1960, and that meeting house has gone to ruin. Piney Creek Primitive Baptist Church600 viewsThe church which met at this place was organized in 1825, and closed in 1980.
