Todd - Todd Mercantile549 viewsThis picture is of the Todd Mercantile. To my understanding it was owned and operated by my great grandfather David Cyrus Howell and his partner Mr. Cox. This building is still standing and slightly altered. (just across from the Todd General Store. To the right is the Todd General Store owner's house. To the far right is the home of David Cyrus Howell(torn down in 2000), the original train depot is in the center of the picture, behind this is the Todd General Store before being enlarged to its present size, to its left is the store owner's house, white frame church (left side of picture) is now brick and is the Blackburn Tabernacle, large victorian house to the far left backside of church is the Dr. Blackburn house(burned many years ago).Cuirtesy of Paul Howelldocnpaul@bellsouth.net
