Horton Spencer was the adopted son of Ambrose Spencer and Ruth Walton. Emma Blevins was the daughter of Joseph Horton Blevins and Elzina Sarah Weaver, and the granddaughter of Eli Whitney Weaver and Mary Ashley. The children are: Dale Spencer (1901-1956) who married Raymond McKinley Weaver; Paul Spencer (infant, above), Fannie Spencer, who married Olen Edward Hoppers, and Dent Spencer. A fifth child, William Spencer, was born after this photo was taken about 1910. Courtesy of Clayton D. Weaver.
