Comments: It appears to be located on land that John Kinworthy sold to his son in law, Henry Williams, on September 16, 1822.Henry Williams sold this land to his son, James Williams, in June 1854. James Williams sold the tract containing the cemetery to Rev. James Evans Bartlett on December 25, 1895. In his will, James Williams bequeathed $50.00 to Rev. Bartlett “as a compensation to him for taking care and keeping up the family graveyard.” Apparently Rev. Bartlett fulfilled this obligation until his death in 1940.The cemetery has since been abandoned and become overgrown with brush and briars. The boundaries of the cemetery have been marked and the stones have been removed. Three graves had marked headstones and there was an undetermined number of graves marked with fieldstones. The headstones were – J W 1858 – H N W – J? W 1851.There is no doubt that other members of the Williams Family are buried here also, but there are no records to prove it. It appears that no has been buried in the cemetery for over 100 years. This list is compiled from research, family traditions, and speculation.
