Brother Elmer Weaver, 67, of Maybeury, departed this life Jan. 19. 1966. He joined Welch [Primitive Baptist] Church by letter July 25, 1942, from the North Fork Church in the Senter Association. He was a decon in Welch Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lessie Edith Jones Weaver; four daughters, Mrs. Velma Buckman and Mrs. Elizabeth Riley of Bridgeton, N.J., Mrs. Ruth Jeffers of Carney Point, N.J., and Mrs. Helen Thompson of Point Pleasant [WV]; one son Wiley Vance Weaver of Dallas, Texas; three sisters Mrs. Maggie Johnson and Mrs. Elmer Johnson of West Jefferson, N.C., and Mrs. Earl Jones of Maybeury [WV]; two brothers Henry and Ben Weaver of Kennett Square, Pa.; and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at Cravens Funeral Home Chapel with Elder G. D. Roten officiating.
The children have lost a good Father, his wife a good husband, and the church a good member. We feel our loss is eternal gain.
