Aumsville (Oregon)- Whitfield Anderson Taylor, 74, died Wednesday in Stayton. He was born in Galax, VA. He served in the Army during World War II. He had lived in Aumsville since 1961. He managed a farm in the Cloverdale area.His Hobbies included hunting and fishing.
He and his wife, Lucy (Pennington), were married in Marion, VA.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, Barbara Jeann Galyean of Booneville, NC, Brenda Gay Jelvic of Mehama (Oregon), Coleen Susan McMullenof Turner (Oregon); sons, Jesse Wayne Taylor and Allen Whitfield Taylor both of Salem (Oregon), and Brandon Gayle Taylor of Baker City (Oregon); brothers Redgieof Turner, Ralph and Carroll, both of Aumsville, and Forrest of Washington; sisters, Janie Whitfield and Nina Haumacher, both of Galax, VA, Mary Balcerzak of Roanake, VA, and Lillian Poplin of Aumsville, 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will begin at 2 pm Monday in Weddle mortuary. Interment will be in Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton.
