W. Edward Roten

W. Edward ROTEN, Oxford (PA), R2 died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home in Hopewell after an illness of one day. The husband of Lula Inscor ROTEN, he was sixty-eight.

He was a carpenter and a member of the Wrightsdale Baptist Church.

Born in Rich Hill, N.C., he was the son of the late James and Nancy JONES ROTEN.

He is survived by his wife and eight children: Carrie, wife of William MITTEN, Wilmington, Del.; Edward Jr., Elkton, MD.; Charles, Nottingham (PA); William; Oscar; Edna, wife of Curtis McGLOTHLIN; Ralph , and Roy, all of Oxford.

Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Lilie, wife of Willy ROLAND, and Lillard, both of Peach Bottom (PA); Lee, of Tralee, WVA; Pearl, wife of David JONES, Oxford; Mrs. Bessie SURBER, Conowingo, MD; Mrs. Ivy JONES, Rich Hill, N.C.; and Mrs. Effie CURLERS, of North Carolina.
