James E. McClure

James Ezra McClure, 80 of Drumore, Lancaster County, died at his home on Wednesday, April 15. He was the husband of Myrtle STUART McCLURE.

A native of Ashe County, N.C. he was a son of the late Newton and Lina KERBY-McCLURE. He had lived in this area for 40 years.

He was a charter member and deacan of the Wrightsdale Baptist Church.

Mr. McCLURE was a road supervisor in Drumore Township for 24 years. He was also a retired farmer.

He is surviveed by the following children: Edward R., of Peach Bottom (PA); Louise L., wife of Charles LINDEN of Millville, N.J.; Carl H. of Drumore; Mary E., wife of Harry OVERTON of Lancaster (PA) ; Hazel, wife of Emil ROTH of Lancaster; Elsie P., wife of Charles BOOTH of Drumore; Emory L. and Henry B. at home; Rochelle E., wife of Luther SINCLAIR of New Holland (PA); Virginia, wife of Robert HERR of Lancaster; Mildred, wife of Clarence GAY of York (PA); a sister, Mrs. Ada BROOKS of Lansing, N.C.; 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cauffman Funeral Home, Oxford, with the Rev. Hubert Henley officiating. Interment was in Little Britain Cemetery.
