Cleo Coomes Luken, 89, Radliff, formerly of Campbellsville, (Ky.)
daughter of the late Anderson Jasper Coomes and Susan Hall Coomes, was born in Grayson Co., Virginia Aug. 5, 1903.
She died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 1993, in Radcliff, (Ky.) due to an Illness.
She was a retired schoolteacher for the Taylor County Board of Education and a member of the Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, (Ky.)
She was married to Henry G. Luken, who preceded her in death March 7,1968.
Luken is survived by two sons, Henry G. Luken Jr., Jackson, Miss, and Leo C. Luken, Elizabethtown, (Ky.) six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, John Luken, in infancy.
Graveside service was at ll a.m., Saturday, March 27 at the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville by Dr. lJ. Chester Badgett.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Severns Valley Baptist Church, Campbellsville Baptist Church, or Helping Hand, which may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of the arrangements.
(Note): Anderson Jasper Coomes was the brother of James Alexander Coomes who married Malinda Hall, sister to Susan Hall, uncle Jasper's wife Susan. Their father was James T. Coomes and Amanda Davis.
