Comments: The cemetery is quite old. There are several members of the Wright family buried here, but not all of the graves are marked. Family tradition is that the first person buried here was “Jennie” Williams. Tradition has it that she wanted to be buried in the strawberry patch. Jennie may have been the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Kinworthy) Williams, and a sister to Mary “Polly” (Williams) Wright, but there are no records to prove it. On an earlier visit to the cemetery I found a soapstone marker with the date “July 30 1864”, but could not find it on this visit. It is the oldest marker in the cemetery and may be her stone. The cemetery is in good condition and has a good fence.
